“Shridevanath Mahasthanam” – Shrinathpeeth Shridevanath Math is one of the ancient Acharya (spiritual teacher) and disciple traditions in India. It holds a significant and renowned place within the globally recognized Nath tradition.
This Parampara traces back to the sage Atri, the son of Lord Brahma, and is deeply rooted in the spiritual wisdom of ancient times. Lord Dattatreya is considered the first Acharya of this tradition. Over the centuries, many sages from the Atri lineage became Acharyas through the sacred guru-shishya tradition of Shrinath.
In this ancient spiritual parampara, Sage Atri and Mother Anusuya are revered as the first divine couple. The second Acharyas in the tradition are believed to be Lord Dattatreya and Goddess Anagha Lakshmi. This sacred and unbroken lineage has been carried forward for thousands of years by the Atri sages through the revered guru tradition.
