This institution is dedicated to the promotion and propagation of Indian classical music, alongside functioning as a traditional music school.
Shrinath Gandhar Music School is a service-oriented initiative run under the Saddharma Pravruttan Mandal organization. It was established with the blessings and guidance of Param Pujya Swami Jitendranath Maharaj.
The school was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa, on March 25, 2020. The current head of the center is Mrs. Pallavi Padmakar Bhirangi.
Shrinath Gandhar Music School is an officially recognized examination center of the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Every year, hundreds of students receive training here in Indian classical music—from the basic (first level) to Madhyama Purna (fifth level) examinations.
To raise awareness and appreciation for traditional classical music among teachers, students, and music enthusiasts, the school organizes various cultural and educational programs. Its core mission is to spread and reinforce the value of Indian classical music and its roots in devotional traditions within society.
The school also provides free classical music education and guidance to students from underprivileged backgrounds (Van Bandhu students) as part of its inclusive approach.
Students from this music school have actively participated in various music competitions and have earned recognition and awards for their performances.
Under the National Education Policy 2020, the students have also undertaken short research projects in the field of music and contributed research papers for the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) program in 2021–22.
Several renowned scholars and eminent artists from the Indian music fraternity have visited the school and interacted with students.
